On Thursday’s Daily Show, Jon Stewart lampooned former US Iraq consul Paul Bremer — who somehow managed to lose $12 billion in cash. Said Democrat Henry Waxman (D-CA) of the US effort to send so much money to Iraq, “To do that, the Federal Reserve Bank had to pack 281 million individual bills… This money, mainly $100 bills was packed into bricks and each brick was worth $400,000 each… The cash weighed more than 363 tons.”
